About Diamond Warriors

Why Diamond Warriors?

DIAMOND - associated with strength, love and health.

WARRIORS - person(s) who shows great enthusiasm and courage; one who sacrifices themselves for the good of others.

Inspired by sports psychologist and author of the children's book "Win The Next Pitch",  Dr. Curt Ickes, Diamond Warriors was born with the focus on teaching the techniques and fundamentals of the game while focusing on our four bases of the diamond; Commitment, Character, Composure, & Community.

The four bases of the diamond will be at the backbone of the camp. Every camp session will focus on different fundamentals, various drills and fun games implementing skills to promote enjoyment and improvement. Throughout the skill development and games, we will spend time developing strategies to improve the mental strength needed to be successful on the baseball or softball diamond.

1st Base: COMMITMENT

Goals will be established for the athlete each day at camp that will carry over to any other opportunities they are on the ball field, whether practice or game.

2nd Base: CHARACTER

A positive attitude not only enhances your own performance but also contributes to a healthier team dynamic, making the game more enjoyable for everyone involved.

3rd Base: COMPOSURE

Skills for athletes that can be developed through practice, mental conditioning, and experience.

Home Plate: COMMUNITY

Provides a sense of belonging, social connections, and contributes to the overall enjoyment of the game and personal growth.
